STILL SKU: 026 PSALM 34:1 I was saved several years before my husband, Doug. While praying him into the kingdom, the time seemed to pass swiftly. Once he accepted Christ, time went by so slowly as I waited and waited for him to "catch-up". I had a private joke with God about a "four-letter word" He kept using on me --- W A I T. Oooh, that word used to drive me nuts! But as patience grew in my soul, I learned how rich and deep were the benefits of God's timing in the events and activities of my life. To wait, to be still before the Lord, was one discipline I didn't know if I would ever learn well. At times, I still struggle with it. But knowing that God IS God - that He IS in control of my life, the lives of my family and brethren ... well, that takes a good portion of the pressure off. "Wait" has become a refuge of time to let the Lord simmer in me, to let wisdom bring forth its perfect work, to give me a sense of peace I never had before. "Wait, I say, upon the Lord!'(Psalm 27) |
